Since then, the company has grown from a small local business to a much larger company with locations in Minneapolis, Minnesota, and Kansas City, Kansas. They provide nationwide service for meters and meter solutions to meet the metering needs of the municipal, agricultural, drilling, and other industries. Mid America Meter purchased Select Products in 2012, and holds the patents for the well-known polystyrene meter jackets to keep residential meters from freezing. The family-owned business is able to work on all major brands and types of meters from 5/8" to 12" - including positive displacement, turbine, propeller, and mag meters. Additionally, they do testing, repairs, and calibrations on propeller and well meters for the drilling industry and provide certified test results. They service cold and hot water meters, as well as fuel oil meters, molasses meters, seal coating meters, and many more. The experienced Mid America Meter staff are trained to work with McCrometer, Water Specialties, and all major brands of meters.
