WorldWide Drilling Resource
12 DECEMBER 2015 WorldWide Drilling Resource ® We Want to Work For You! Application for Employment - Continued Troy Cunningham – I’m pleased to meet you and everyone throughout the world. Known as the “come-to guy”, the “jack of all trades”, the “I’ll drop everything to handle your problem” person, I really enjoy doing whatever it takes to help. And that is just what I’ll do for any WWDR subscriber, advertiser, or for that matter, anyone in the drilling industry worldwide! Being a currently active Lieutenant with a Fire Department, provides me with the discipline to “get the job done” when it is needed to be done. I travel on an as-needed basis for WWDR and enjoy it tremendously. Just getting the opportunity to meet you, is a pleasure in and of itself; not to mention the fact I enjoy the equipment – having a background in heavy equipment and current owner and operator with my wife of a sawmill operation, farm, small and large equipment, certainly gives me the ability to “talk intelligently” with our customers. I also play golf! Lora Barnes – You may have seen me during the summers as part of the famous WWDR Team for the past 7 years. I am a graduate of University of South Florida, with a Bachelors of Arts in Elementary Education; 23 years in education (in the classroom as well as administration). My outgoing personality enables me to interact in a professional manner with everyone I meet at the trade events - and I thoroughly enjoy each and every one of you. I have learned a great deal about an industry that frankly was “Greek” to me some time ago. I pride myself in being able to “get you the answer you need to make intelligent marketing decisions.” Marie Cunningham – I remember in 2003, as the WWDR Team was just in the beginning stages, spending hours with database input, “to get our subscribers’ list up and running” before that very first issue hit the stands - January 2004 - we got it in their hands at the EXPO in December 2003! That’s what it takes to make customers happy. I moved on into the production depart- ment and quickly learned how to prepare advertisements (which helps me greatly in my own businesses), and the layout of the entire magazine. Since that time, I have worked alongside my husband with our sawmill operation, as well as our cattle, WWDR , and horse enterprises, building homes, etc. - not to mention traveling on an as-needed basis for WWDR Team. I am quick to provide rates and services available and take your information right back to the WWDR Team in Bonifay for follow-up without delay. CONSULTANTS: Thomas Kwader, Ph.D.,P.G. – I am the WWDR Team’s hydrogeologist consultant and their go-to guy for any questions regarding hydrology (the study of water). I am a valued contributing writer. I travel extensively and am also an inventor. Mary Ann Pelletier – To be a good consultant, two of the more important contributions are to be a good listener with an optimistic outlook on life. My administrative experience with our rural volunteer fire department over the past 20 years reinforced this belief. Prior to my retirement as an editor for two drilling magazines, I had the opportunity to travel through the U.S., Canada, and abroad; where I met some of the most remarkable people in the drilling industry. Now, when called upon by WWDR for advice, suggestions, etc., I have a wealth of experience to fall back on. ADMINISTRATION: Michele Stevens – Beginning in the early years as my father’s bookkeeper in his car repair business during high school, provided the beginning for what was to be a lifetime career. After graduation I went to work in the local newspaper’s business office - staying for 14 years! Seeing a new avenue for our future, my husband and I moved north to Bonifay, Florida, where I found WWDR in need of an office administrator. While I knew nothing of drilling at the time, I have come to know quite a bit and enjoy jumping at the chance to get the phone first to welcome each of you to our home. Besides the daily accounting of receivables, etc., I handle the database (ensuring it is up-to-date and each new subscriber has timely input to get their very first issue of WWDR ); I also re- ceive all the articles from our contributing writers. We have a great working relationship. Taking charge of the day-to-day operations in the absence of the managing publisher is another of my tasks. If you need it - we will find it for you! MANAGEMENT: Veronica I. “Ronnie” Jones – Have a dream? Go for it! AND continue to work at it - as long as it makes you smile! That’s why this comes first with me. Yes, it was my dream, and I remain one of two of the original cofounders of WWDR . No, I don’t profess to know everything about drilling - but we are sure our friends in the industry do - they are the ones we ask when we have a question - those in the know! My background is that of a graduate from a rural high school, a transplanted Yankee. My claim to fame is learning from the ground up - school of hard knocks plus tax! I became a travel agency manager the summer I graduated from high school (thus my ability to make all the travel preparations for the WWDR Team); bookkeeper for a short time for BCBS, FL; assistant to the vice president of a Ford dealership; legal secretary for criminal defense-personal injury, family law, and collections attorneys; Law Office Manager for Tax, Real Estate attorneys; Office and Finance Manager for a Chrysler Dealership; Public Relations Professional for drilling industry publication; owner of drilling industry representative company (sales); Volunteer In Service to America – Literacy Volunteer; airline screener and administrator; Cofounder and majority stockholder of WorldWide Drilling Resource, Inc. This varied, across-the-board knowledge is how I effectively manage WWDR and assist our subscribers, advertisers, and industry associations on a daily basis - HANDS ON. I read constantly and research effective management areas - I firmly believe each member of this WWDR Team is quite capable of performing their individual, as well as collective positions with YOUR SUCCESS as their ultimate goal.
