Geoprobe ® has a new DT60 Dual Tube Soil Sampling System which boasts innovative features. Utilizing six-inch OD (outside diameter) percus- sion-driven casing, the system collects a four-inch-diameter soil sample. The DT60 uses a patent-pending split sheath, giving the user the option of not using a liner. The new and innovative optional liner system for the DT60 decreases initial tooling costs and shipping, because these reusable liners are easily recycled and are packaged with 100 feet of liners in a box not much larger than a microwave. In addition to soil sampling, the DT60 system can also install two-inch monitoring wells without driving a second tool string. So you can collect continuous soil cores and install a two-inch well within a six-inch borehole with no expendable points. Congratulat ions to: John Dixon Ki l lbuck , OH Winner for November! Unfortunately, small companies are quickly becoming a large target for cybercriminals, since they typically have limited resources for securing information systems. In an effort to stop hackers, the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) recently launched online tools and resources highlighting “Cybersecurity at Work”. A survey by the National Small Business Association indicated 44% of small businesses reported cyberattacks in 2013, with an average cost of $9000 per attack. Small businesses have significant information sought out by cybercriminals, including employee and customer data, bank account information, access to business finances, and intellectual property. Small businesses also provide access to larger networks such as supply chains. The SBA cybersecurity Web page is a resource for small business owners where they will find online courses, training opportunities, blogs and webinars, as well as cybersecurity tips including how to: w Protect against viruses, spyware, and other malicious code. w Educate employees about cyberthreats. w Safeguard Internet connections by using a firewall and encrypting information. w Use best practices on payment cards, including shifting to more secure credit card payment technology. Visit www.sba.gov/cybersecurity for more tips and resources to safeguard your business against cyberthreats. 32 DECEMBER 2015 WorldWide Drilling Resource ®
