Over Three Tons of Food Donated to Community Food Pantry Adapted from a Press Release by Doosan Portable Power Doosan Portable Power employees recently participated in the Doosan Day of Community Service - a company-wide volunteer effort celebrating ongoing partnerships with communities in North America where Doosan Infracore companies do business. The company proudly participated in the event to help make a positive impact in the Statesville, North Carolina, community. Over a two-week period, employees donated 6500 pounds of nonperishable food for the Iredell Christian Ministries Food Pantry located in Statesville. The pantry pro- vides 25,000 pounds of food each month to people in the community, and Iredell Christian Ministries serves 800 families a month. “We wanted to make a real difference in our community,” said Mike Ballweber, pres- ident of Doosan Portable Power. “Hunger is an issue that no child, adult, or family should have to face. We are grateful and humbled for the opportunity to help those in need.” Doosan Portable Power is commi t - ted to cre- ating an environment which encourages employees to participate in community involvement. The Doosan Day of Community Service places an emphasis on the Doosan Way - an organizational principle linking all Doosan Infracore employees’ values to a manage- ment system focused on community and social re- sponsibility which can be incorporated into their daily lives. At the heart of the Doosan Way is the idea that being a good corporate citizen is an ongoing responsibility. 3"- 0)'! +#0* /'! /,,). '+ ./,!( '4#. 6 /, 6
