Yes! It’s true, Stockdale Mine Supply, originally founded as an explosive company in 1947 by J. Robert Means and Barney Stockdale, ventured into a full-service drilling supply buisiness, directed by Stephen R. Means. Likewise, Keystone Drill Services was founded in 1985 by Thomas A. Walker to focus on pioneer- ing the Eastern oil and gas market into air-driven tooling and air compressor manufacturing which revolutionized the drilling methods we use today, while increasing productivity. In 2008, both Keystone Drill Services and Stockdale Mine Supply were sold. While both companies serviced many markets, the oil and gas market became the focal point. Fast-forward to 2015, Steve and Tom purchased back the assets of both mentioned companies forming Keystone Drill Services, Inc. Scott A. Slater was appointed the CEO of the new organi- zation. Slater brings 25 years of experience with Ingersoll-Rand and Atlas Copco to the new company. Keystone Drill Services, Inc. has an equal focus on the construction and foundation, mining and aggregate, oil and gas, exploration, and water well drilling industries! While representing prominent manufacturers such as Atlas Copco, Varel, and Doosan, Keystone Drill Services, Inc. focuses heavily on services that set it apart from the competition.
