Trevisani established Trevi SpA in 1957, and it has be- come one of the leading specialty foundations engineering companies in the world. In 1969, he formed Soilmec, a world leader in the design and manufacturing of plants and equipment used for special foundations and drilling work. During the inaugural Legends Award Ceremony, Trevisani was recognized for his significant contributions to the research, design, construction, and manufacturing fileds of the deep foundation and drilling industries. “I’m honored to have a career that is worthy of the Deep Foundation Institute’s Da Vinci Legends Award. The success of Soilmec S.p.A. as a leader in the design, manufacture, and distribution of equipment for the ground engineering industry has been the product of consistent hard work and con- tinuous innovation. Soilmec is the renowned engineering arm of the Trevi Group, a world- wide leader in the field of special foundations,” said Trevisani. Trevi Group has learned from challenging jobsites, including stabilizing the Pisa Tower, building 17 new stations for the Copenhagen Citiringen rail line, and strengthening levees in New Orleans. They proudly share their expertise with the entire drilling industry. “I was asked during the DFI Legends award ceremony whether or not I would have done anything differently in my career... There is no reason to question the past, when the present and future deserves my undivided attention. I look forward to providing many more years of dedicated service, thoughtful contributions, and hard work,” he concluded.
