Life’s Experiences by “Diamond” Dave Hose, Display Sales Manager dWid ling R ou ce WorldWide Drilling Resource ® Fred Taylor spent the first 21 years of his life on his father’s farm. The family consisted of his father, mother, and their six children - three boys and three girls. Their house had only four rooms, a kitchen, living room, and two bedrooms upstairs. Fred graduated from Glenford High School during the Great Depression. He went to a one-room school called Jockey Hollow outside Glenford, Ohio. For the first six years of his schooling, he walked about a half mile over the hills and through the woods to the school, carrying his lunch every day. I met Fred when I started going to the First Baptist Church in Zanesville, Ohio. I noticed all the children would go up to him and he would give each one of them a roll of sweet tarts. I found out later they would tell Fred they loved Jesus the best...Enjoy!
