Ronnie’s Real World by Veronica I. “Ronnie” Jones This is truly quite the year for the WWDR Team (family that is!). As we roll into March, those we have visited with at the past 13 events across the world, have inspired us with their continued compliments of this YOuR magazine for the drilling industry. Friends of many years have retired from the industry - a special one indeed is leroy Goodson of the Texas Ground Water Association. This year saw his “second annual retirement party” surpass last year’s “first annual retirement party”. Some of us are just part of the industry we love and it is hard to say goodbye. The good news is, we will be seeing leroy again at the TGWA2017 as he has agreed to handle the continuing education credits there. That makes my heart happy. While visiting with some of the folks at these various shows, many subjects come up. Where is the industry headed? Will oil come back? What about the mining industry - what do you think? And of course, so pleased to see the water well drilling is springing ahead again! What amazes me however, is when some always talk the “almighty dollar”. You can’t take it with you! As you know, o ldW de li so c W r i Dril ng Re ur e ® began to help the drilling industry. We started, and remain as a small company, just like you. This allows us to focus on you and your needs - your association’s needs - your families and friends - and more. When I hear, “Ronnie, you know it’s all about money”, that really gets to me. Someone recently said to me, they limit their circulation because “it costs money to mail those things, you know”. Sure it does, but WorldWide mails “those things”. Why? We feel it is important to reach those most interested in the drilling industry and to help our valued advertisers and associations who need to reach those in this industry, get the most coverage.
