The event was such a huge success the group dec ded to cont nue the r efforts. OHH ra sed more than $24,500 from that f rst sma sport ng c ays tournament and has s nce expanded nto mu t p e chap- ters, each w th annua fundra s ng events. New members from operator and serv ce compan es are encouraged to jo n the or- gan zat on. OHH has chapters nc ud ng Texas, (greater Houston and surround ng count es, nc ud ng Brazor a, Chambers, Fort Bend, Ga veston, L berty, Montgomery, and Wa er); the state of Ok ahoma; Acad ana (22 par shes n southern Lou s ana); and Rocky Mounta n (Co orado, Utah, and Wyom ng). OHH ra ses money through corporate membersh ps, donat ons, and fundra s ng events every year. The Texas chapter has four events: spr ng and fa sport ng c ays, a sa twater f sh ng tournament, and a go f tournament. Ok ahoma has a spr ng go f tournament n Tu sa, and a fa c ay shoot n Ok ahoma C ty. Acad ana hosts a c ay shoot each spr ng n the Lafayette area and a red- f sh rodeo n the Houma area each fa . The new Rocky Mounta n chapter s n the p an- n ng stages for ts annua events. Each of the events has a number of sponsors who donate money and serv ces, as we as tems for door pr zes and auct ons so expenses for every event are kept to the owest poss b e amount. The funds ra sed are g ven, based on need, to members of the o f e d fam y. To qua fy for f nanc a ass stance, the rec p ent must ve and/or work w th n the des gnated terr tory of the chapters, or work for one of many corporate members. The app cant must be nom nated by an OHH member, and 75% of the app cant's current or ast f ve years of ncome must be der ved from the exp orat on and product on s de of the o f e d.
