Longevity Comes from Continual Improvement Adapted from Information by Flint & Walling In 1866, Flint & Walling (F&W) began operations in Kendallville, Indiana. When first established, F&W built hand-operated water pumps and the Flint & Walling windmill, a revolutionary product which quickly spanned the globe. Today, F&W remains at its original location and offers high-performance pumps and water systems for home, agricultural, commercial, and industrial applications. Product lines in- clude submersible, centrifugal, jet, and booster pumps, as well as specialty items. The company employs an average of 150 people, several of whom are third- and fourth-generation employees. F&W is a wholly owned subsidiary of Zoeller Company, headquartered in Louisville, Kentucky. They manufacture a full line of water pumps under the brands of Flint & Walling, Wolf Pump, Zoeller Pump, Zoeller Engineered Products, and Clarus. F&W is also the only United States pump company to manufacture its own four-inch submersible, jet pump, and centrifugal pump motors. A com- plete selection of controls and control packages rounds out the line of prod- ucts for the water industry. Recently, based on input from the field, several enhancements to the F&W line of control boxes has been implemented to improve performance. To celebrate its 150th anniversary in 2016, the company will host a community-wide celebration on September 17, at the Mid-America Windmill Museum in Kendallville, which will include live music, food and beverages, and family entertainment.
