Working Together for Optimal Results Adapted from Information by Schlumberger Schlumberger and Weatherford have joined to create OneStim ℠ , a plan to deliver completions products and services for the development of unconventional plays in the United States and Canada. This joint venture will lead to one of the broadest multistage completions portfolios in the market, combin- ing with one of the largest hydraulic fracturing fleets in the industry. Weatherford was one of the first companies in the North American completions market. Its portfolio includes a broad and mature line of products for upper and lower completions, and across all lower completion types, including open hole, cased hole, sleeves, and plugs. The company also brings the benefit of a well-established manufacturing organization, leading to a cost-competitive method of manufacturing, while delivering reliable and top-quality products. Weatherford will contribute its prominent multistage completions portfolio, cost-effective regional manufacturing capability, and supply chain. The Schlumberger product catalog is more technology-driven. For example, the Infinity dissolvable plug-and-perf system by Schlumberger is the industry’s only fullbore interventionless plug-and-perf system. This system uses degradable fracturing balls and seats instead of plugs to isolate zones during stimulation, which means no mechanical intervention is needed to re- trieve the plugs. Similarly, the Diamondback composite drillable frac plug was one of the early composite plugs to incorporate an antipreset mechanism, a feature which has become standard across the industry today. Schlumberger will provide access to its premier surface and downhole tech- nologies, efficient operational processes, and advanced geo-engineered workflows to the venture. The OneStim ℠ integrated completions system consolidates the technology from Schlumberger with Weatherford’s mature multistage completions portfolio, covering the entire range of operator requirements. The OneStim ℠ system will have a direct impact on well economics, ensuring an optimized and operational ly efficient fracture treatment, and continued support for activity projected through its working life. Schlumberger will manage the project.
