The company offers a broad range of piston compressors, screw compressors, and air treatment products, serving mainly the Brazilian market but also some other South American countries. “Pressure Compressores is known in South America for its quality with a well-reputed technology for piston compressors,” said Nico Delvaux, president of Atlas Copco’s compres- sor technique business area. “With this acquisition we are strengthening our presence in this important region.” The acquisition is expected to be completed during the second quarter of 2017. Pressure Compressores will become part of the professional air division in the compressor technique business area. WHO’S IN THE NEWS Baroid Industrial Products (IDP) announced the retirement of Dave Donald after more than 40 years with the company. In addition to leading the company to record growth, he set the standard for customer service and technical expertise.
