The WWDR Team Travel and speak with thousands upon thousands each year - Only talking shop to help our drilling industry. Weird, huh? I agree. Why would a publisher and the WWDR Team give a hoot? Must go on and just make money right? WRONG!!! EMPHATICALLY WRONG!!! Without the industry, we are no more. Think about that. Each and every one of us would be NO MORE! I’ve recently attended water well and geothermal conferences, along with other types of drilling events. Each one trying to kill their industry without even realizing it. Literally!!! No one wants to talk at meetings for fear, I think, it would appear to be offending someone. Rather, they sit quietly. Or perhaps it is because someone has told them to keep quiet for it won’t mat- ter anyway. So they stay quiet until they don’t bother coming to events anymore . . . won’t matter anyway. WRONG! So since they won’t talk (yet), I’ll be their mouthpiece for now - because we here at WorldWide Drilling Resource, Inc. really do care about the drilling industry. GO TO THE MEETINGS! That really is where things are decided. NEW and EXCITING voices and ideas ARE NEEDED , urgently. So perhaps they won’t like the first thing you sug- gest. Don’t put that tail between your legs and stay home or pretend to be out there supporting your industry - your future - when in effect the way to support it is to STAND UP for it and your- self and your family’s future. Some say I am too bold. Perhaps. But I say what I mean and feel - and mean what I say and feel. Won’t you join with the WWDR Team and STAND UP FOR OUR INDUSTRY ? Do you know what one of the WWDR Team members was doing in April? STANDING UP for what she feels is a very important part of the mining industry. YES, our Editor Bonnie Love is very passionate about the Education Foundation of the Women In Mining, and with the recent death of its President, it was discussed not to continue that vital part of the mining indus- try - EDUCATION ! She hesitated, and when we sat down and talked, she realized she needed to step up to the plate for what she feels is right. Now, as I am writing this, it is early April, the meeting isn’t until mid to late April, so I don’t know the outcome, but I do know, she is doing what we all should - standing up for our industry! I’m so very proud of her. This truly is, Ronnie’s Real World . . .
