Robert L. “Bob” Jackson Bob Jackson was born in Wickenburg, Arizona, in 1945, and he passed away February 8, 2017. After he graduated from high school at the age of 16, he went to work on a drill rig. His work for different drilling companies, including Anaconda Mining, took him to several states and countries including Montana, Alaska, Canada, Mexico, Chile, and Peru. By 1973, Bob started his own business, B J Drilling Company in Benson, Arizona, and included his family in his business plan. When Arizona started to realize water needed protection, Bob helped develop some of the regulations for the Arizona Department of Water Resources. Water well drilling professionals needed a license, and Bob was proud to hold license Number 25 until his last day. He was determined to continue drilling and did so while he taught many others in the industry. His kindness, knowledge, and expertise will be missed by many, but Bob put a plan in place for the company to continue indefinitely.
