WorldWide Drilling Resource
Oil/Water Exploration by Harold White I attended the Oregon Ground Water Association Fall Convention in October. Conventions are always fun. I enjoy meeting people and listening to stories about drilling, new equipment, new materials, and so on - like who’s got what for sale, how much, and why. Drilling contractors like to talk about the old drilling days and how the word of mouth was and still is the best advertisement in areas and for some people - if you don’t want contact from other areas around the world. This WWDR magazine goes all around the world once a month. Word of mouth does not do that, and neither does the local newspaper. Most of the drilling people around the world getting WWDR know me, and I think it is a good thing. They know WWDR only publishes what they believe is true and helpful. I met a drilling professional at one of the tables in the cafeteria. He said he rec- ognized me from articles in WWDR , and he had read them for years. I thanked him, saying I hoped he enjoyed them and they weren’t too repetitive. He wanted to know how it was for me to write the articles, and I told him sometimes it takes days of me wondering what I’m going to write, and others times only about an hour. When I asked if he wanted to write something, he gave me this: “What happens when you don’t get an adequate supply of water at the expect- ed depth? We are fortunate to, in most cases. In the area we serve, this is not a problem. When it does happen, we generally offer to drill an additional 20-40 feet and not charge if an adequate supply is found.” ~ Marvin Skyles Harold Harold White may be contacted via e-mail to michele@worldwidedrillingresource.com February 7 - 8, 2019 Aquarius Casino Resort - Laughlin, NV Located on the Colorado River For more information visit us online: mountainstatesgroundwater.com E-mail: info@mountainstatesgroundwater.com (480) 609-3999 WHYATTEND??? • It’s a great opportunity to visit with manufacturers & suppliers, drilling contractors & pump installers, technical & consulting firms, state groundwater officials, etc. • Attend the seminars • Visit the exhibits • Earn CEU’s • Participate in the Buck Lively Scholarship auction & raffle No membership is required to attend - Everyone is welcome!
