Getting it Done with Extra Heavy-Duty Pressure Switches Adapted from Information by Merrill Manufacturing Ever tried getting #4 - #10 wire into a heavy-duty pressure switch? Not fun to do. Trying to get the wires under the screws and getting them to stay while tightening them, is no easy task either. Well, fight no more. Merrill Manufacturing has just what you need with its extra heavy-duty pressure switch featuring a large case for easy wiring. The extra heavy-duty pressure switches have heavy brass wire with set screws inside a brass tube. These heavy connections can hold #4 wire or smaller very easily. They are also individually boxed with the adjustment instructions inside the top cover. Other features include: o A built-in ¼-inch swivel union so the switch case does not need to pivot to install. o The extra-large case measures 5.7 x 5.3 inches with four ¾-inch conduit size knockouts for heavy wire. o Pressure switches have raised grounding lugs for easy connection which holds two wires. o Extra-large silver contacts are used for longer service life. o The contact’s bracket is a heavy fiber board to ensure movement of contacts, which is much stronger and more heat resistant. o Points open on cut-off pressure - switch off. Points close on cut-in or pressure drop - switch on. o The extra heavy-duty pressure switches are available in 30/50, 40/60, 60/80, and 80/100 psi. In addition to these benefits, these extra heavy-duty pressure switches are more competitively priced than what has been available before. Founded in 1949, Merrill Manufacturing is dedicated to continually providing the highest level of service, while providing a wide selection of quality parts for the water well industry.
