Adapted from Messe München bauma 2019, the largest show in the world, is now even bigger! The next edition of the world’s leading trade fair for construction machinery, building material machines, mining ma- chines, construction vehicles, and construction equipment will take place April 8 - 14, 2019. Expanded to 18 halls, the total exhibition space will span more than 6.6 million square feet - more than 96,000 square feet more than the last edition in 2016. “Two new halls and a site structure that is even clearer - we have further op-timized the parameters for our next bauma,” said Klaus Dittrich, chairman and CEO of Messe München. Among the changes at bauma are an increase in space for the largest section of construction machines and attachments. The area has increased from four to five halls, as well as an additional outdoor area directly adjacent to the hall complex. The components sector now also has five instead of four halls; formworks and scaffolds has moved to Hall B3; and lifting appliances are bundled in Hall C4. New in Hall C6, is the Conference Center North which houses additional conference rooms. Previously located in Hall B0, which will be used as additional exhibition space during bauma 2019, the special “THINK BIG!” exhibit which shows students career opportunities in the construction and building material machine industries moves to the ICM - International Congress Center Munich. There is another change that is envisaged: during the trade fair, part of Paul-Henri-Spaak-Straße will be turned into the pedestrian zone “bauma Boulevard”, along which visitors and exhibitors can enjoy an in- ternational culinary offering. bauma 2016 had over 3495 exhibitors from all over the world and more than 580,000 international visitors attended the event.
