In memory of our dear friend, Zane Earl Poppell 11/22/2018 While celebrating Thanksgiving with family at the age of 57, Zane fell ill and was being rushed to the hospital when he suc- cumbed to an apparent heart attack. This news came as a great shock to all of us here at WorldWide , even though some had never had the privilege of meeting him, we saw his face many, many times through the WWDR photos taken at the various trade shows he covered with and for Cotey Chemical Corporation. His smiling face lit up the room - and he would often tease and hide his face when photos were being taken. We all smiled and were sort of envious of his traveling in his camper with his dog(s) across the country to these events. It was an experience we all wished we could have had - even though it was supposed to be “work” he made it sound and look like fun. He truly loved his position with Cotey Chemical and will be sorely missed. He was an outdoorsman who enjoyed motorcycling and cooking, but his favorite pastime was time spent with his family and of course those pups of his. He is survived by his daughter Casie (Carlos) Robles and grand- son Hanley; aunts and uncles Patsy (James) Carter, Sandra (Gerald) Edenfield, Betty Harris, Donnell (Pat) Brannen; and numerous cousins. Zane was laid to rest on Sunday, November 25th, in the Pinecrest Memorial Cemetery with the help of his cousins and friends serving as pallbearers.
