Over time, I just accepted the simple truth there are miracles in the world every day. The problem is, many people don’t agree with this idea or concept. I thought I would share a few of the stupid things some people have said about miracles - and there are a lot more, but neither you nor I have the time. So what are miracles? Official definition: - a surprising and welcome event that is not explicable by natural or scientific laws and is therefore considered to be the work of a divine agency. - a highly improbable or extraordinary event, development, or accomplishment that brings very welcome consequences. - an amazing product or achievement, or an outstanding example of something. Now go experience a miracle today . . . To teach superstitions as truths is a most terrible thing. The child mind accepts and believes them, and only through great pain and perhaps tragedy can he be in after years relieved of them.” Hypatia • “The very idea of supernatural magic - including miracles - is incoherent, devoid of sensible meaning.” Richard Dawkins • “I don't believe in miracles because it's been a long time since we've had any.” Joseph Heller • “In those parts of the world where learning and science has prevailed, miracles have ceased; but in those parts of it as are barbarous and ignorant, miracles are still in vogue.” Ethan Allen Okay, how about a few positives: • “I keep my heart and my soul and my spirit open to miracles.” Patrick Swayze • “Seeing, hearing, feeling, are miracles, and each part and tag of me is a miracle.” Walt Whitman • “I believe that miracles happen every day. Every person is a miracle. Every moment is a miracle.
