The Road to Guts & Glory 2019 Adapted from Information by Grundfos The 2019 Grundfos WaterPRO Championship sends contestants barreling toward victory on the Road to Guts & Glory - a timed virtual reality (VR) game testing both industry and Grundfos product knowledge. Contestants will complete a virtual re- ality challenge in which they answer a customer call for installation of a new SQ pump. Each contestant starts with 250 points, and points are lost based on time and how they respond to challenges, and points are gained for answering Grundfos product-related knowl- edge questions. The contest is a two-stage competition open to all water well contrac- tors in the United States and Canada. The first stage of the contest will consist of approximately 75 local qualifying events. One of these qualifying events will be held July 27-29, at the upcoming South Atlantic JUBILEE, taking place at the Myrtle Beach Convention Center in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. In qualifying events, the top two scorers will receive a Visa ® Reward Card - $100 for first place and $50 for second place. In the second stage, contestants with the top nine scores from among all U.S. contestants, and the contestant with the top score from among all Canadian contestants, as well as two “walk-on” contestants, will qualify to compete for the championship at Groundwater Week in Las Vegas, Nevada, currently scheduled for December 2-5. They will receive round-trip airfare to the event, a Groundwater Week 2019 show pass, and three nights’ accommodations for themselves and one guest. At the championship event, the first place winner will take home $10,000 and the 2019 WaterPRO Championship title; second place will receive $3000; and the third place will get $1500. To compete in the contest, you must be a professional water well contractor and meet one of the following requirements: be a registered WaterPRO Dealer in the U.S. or Canada at time of the qualifying event; and become, or be employed by, a registered WaterPRO Dealer in the U.S. or Canada by December 2, 2019 to play in the finals.
