WorldWide Drilling Resource

25 MARCH 2021 WorldWide Drilling Resource® In Memoriam Evelyn Tindall Webber (1931~2020) Sadness befell our hearts as we heard of Evelyn’s passing. Many in our industry fail to think of the many women behind the men who standfast to assist when needed. To know Evelyn had a friend in the industry who wanted her to be recognized as being a lady of industry, is a great feeling. Evelyn had such dear friends in John and Shirley Schmitt, and we thank them for letting us have the privilege of honoring Evelyn here in WorldWide Drilling Resource®. Born in Sparta, Michigan, she spent the first 87 years of her life there; graduated Sparta High, attended MSU; married Chuck Tindall; and started a family. Evelyn had many talents, including seamstress and baking for her grandchildren whom she adored. Sadness came into her life when Chuck passed away, but she remained strong, and with her son Joe still in the home threw herself into his sport - Bicycle Motocross Racing - becoming known as the BMX Mom. Richard “Dick” Webber and Evelyn married in 1992. They were old high school friends and welcomed children and grandchildren into the house he built. They remained there until 2018, moving to Lansing to be closer to family. Dick has been quite active with the Michigan Ground Water Association for many years having served on the Board of Directors; as Treasurer and President of the Association; and he was presented with the Well Driller of the Year Award. Evelyn is survived by her husband Dick; her children Charlyn (Mark) Cosgrove, Susan Tindall, Jacquie Tindall, Joe (Tammie) Tindall, and Philip (Christine) DeJong; Dick’s children Sue (Brian) Bitely, Peggy Webber, and Matt (Patty) Webber; 12 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren. Lest we forget...
