13 WorldWide Drilling Resource ® AUGUST 2013 TAM International Opens New Office in Dubai TAM International, Inc., an independent oilfield services company providing inflatable and swellable packers, opened a new office in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, to support the company’s continued growth in the Middle East region. The new office offers state- of-the-art technology and is in a centralized area, enabling customers to visit TAM staff members, and attend lunch and learn sessions, presentations, and in-house training. Colin Graham, Middle East regional manager, will lead the Dubai office . “We are very excited about the opening of our new office. Integrates with Sister Company to Maximize Manufacturing GEFCO, Inc. announced an integration with sister company Astec Loudon of Loudon, Tennessee. The Loudon facility currently manufactures the GEFCO 500K, a vertical drilling rig and the ASTEC DP 2000 Double Pumper. Both locations manufacture equipment that target similar markets and products. “The goal of both plants is to combine our efforts so we are able to respond and react to the market in a quicker fashion,” said Aaron Harmon, president of GEFCO, Inc. “Both plants bring their own set of strengths to the table and we are excited about this opportunity and look forward to growing our business.” The two plants combined have a total manufacturing capacity of 750,000 square feet and employ over 300 professionals with years of experience. Luis Aguilera, director of manufacturing for both locations said, “The integration of the Enid and Loudon facilities will allow GEFCO to provide additional products that meet or exceed our quality standards, as well as our customer’s requirements, through continuous improve- ment of our products, processes, and services.”
