20 JULY 2013 WorldWide Drilling Resource ® Several Education Options at ICUEE 2013 Adapted from Information by the Association of Equipment Manufacturers The International Construction and Utility Equipment Exposition (ICUEE 2013), being held October 1-3, 2013, at the Kentucky Exposition Center in Louisville, Kentucky, will feature new mobile hydraulics courses. This latest addition to its roster of industry education is designed to provide attendees with more options to fit their specific learning needs. “For 2013, we’ve gathered together more industry perspectives and input; ICUEE is already known as a top-quality show, and the result will be an even more well-rounded industry event,” stated Show Director Sara Truesdale Mooney. Most of the equipment on display at ICUEE uses hydraulics for most or all of its power and motion. This is one reason the two mobile hydraulics courses will be offered at ICUEE 2013. The courses will be conducted by professional, certi- fied instructors. One course will teach attendees the basics of hydraulics - prin- ciples, components, and systems. The other course will explore essential con- cepts to ensure hydraulic systems oper- ate at peak efficiency and reliability. Educatoinal opportunities return- ing by popular demand are: ” The iP Utility Safety Conference & Expo, the utility industry’s lead- ing education event for safety, train- ing, and operations professionals. ” UCT (Underground Construction Technology) is colocating its edu- cational programming related to underground construction and reha- bilitation infrastructure. Additionally, attendees can take ad- vantage of these new education colo- cations at ICUEE 2013: • Asset Management Symposium from the Association of Equipment Management Professionals (AEMP) - this annual forum sharing is for new and innovative solutions for fleet asset management • Cured-in-Place Pipe Good Practices course from the North American Society for Trenchless Technology (NASTT), geared to both the expe- rienced and those new to the trench- less industry. ICUEE is held every two years and covers more than one million net square feet of exhibits highlighting the latest equipment, technologies, products, and services related to utility construction and rehabilitation. ICUEE is known for its extensive hands-on equipment demonstrations in job-like conditions; and this year, a new indoor Exhibitor Demo Stage has been added. The show serves utility profes- sionals and utility construction contrac- tors in the electric, telecommunications, cable, water, wastewater, and natural gas sectors.
