Gosh, what fun we used to have as children on the 4th of July. Even though it’s been some time since then, I can still remember...as Lofton Jones, our great-grandson, in this picture shows us all - there is still plenty to smile about. I had to share this photograph of him with our USA flag flying high next to him as we celebrate this 2013 4th of July and remember how fortunate we are to live here despite all our challenges. As you sit down with your family Thursday, the 4th, say a little prayer for all those who help protect our freedoms and give us the opportunity to smile like Lofton.
