Latin America is a key region for off-road equipment manufacturers. CONEXPO Latin America will extend AEM’s CONEXPO brand of manufactur- er-run expositions to the area. The asso- ciation initiated the show in response to member feedback who were looking for marketing opportunities within Latin America. The show will feature the latest construction and construction materials equipment, technologies, and services for the Latin America marketplace. CONEXPO Latin America will follow the model of the CONEXPO-CON/AGG international exposition in North America. The association is a longtime sup- porter of global cooperation bringing manufacturers, customers, and industry organizations together at good quality events. A managing committee of ex- hibitors and other industry stakeholders will guide the show to meet the needs of all participants. AEM has worked with the Chilean Chamber of Construction for more than a decade to foster mutual cooperation on issues including safety, standards devel- opment, market information, and trade promotion. “We value our longstanding relation- ship with the Chamber, and this coloca- tion complements our mutual efforts to support business growth in the Latin American construction and construction equipment sectors,” stated Megan Tanel, AEMvice president exhibitions and events. Carlos Erdmann, president of the Organizer Committee of the Chilean Chamber of Construction welcomes CONEXPO Latin America saying, “The Chamber is pleased to work with AEM; our efforts benefit all our members to help their companies prosper. Our Edifica- Expohormigon trade fair is a successful meeting place for the construction sector of infrastructure, housing, equipment, and machinery, and the Chamber welcomes the colocat ion of CONEXPO Lat in America.” The plan is to rotate the location of the expo between the northern and south- ern areas of SouthAmerica, giving buyers the opportunity to work with all regions. The show will launch as an annual event, with future timing and rotation with other events to be determined. AEM is working with allied associations and has valuable support fromMesseMünchen International (MMI), organizers of bauma. AEM and MMI partner on bC India and AEM sup- ports MMI shows in other key regions. La asociación inicio la exposición en respuesta a los comentarios de los miembros que están en busca de opor- tunidades de mercadotecnia en Latino América. La exposición contara con los materiales, equipos, tecnologías y ser- vicios de construcción mas recientes para el mercado de Latino América. CONEXPO Latino América seguirá el modelo de CONEXPO-CON/AGG ex- posición internacional en Norte América. La asociación es un partidario de muchos años de cooperación global trayendo a fabricantes, clientes, y organi- zadores de la industria juntos en eventos de calidad. Un comité regente de expo- sitores y otros interesados en la industria guiaran la exposición para llenar las necesidades de los participantes. Nuestra Edifica-Expohormigon es un exitoso lugar de reuniones para el sector de la cons- trucción de infraestructura, equipo, y ma- quinaria, y la Cámara le da la bienvenida a la colocación de CONEXPO Latino América.” El plan es de rotar las locaciones de la exposición entre norte y sur del área de Sur América, dando a los compradores la oportunidad de trabajar con todas las regiones. La exposición se lanzara como un evento anual, con futura rotación con otros eventos a ser determinados. AEM está trabajando con asociaciones ali- dadas y tiene apoyo valuable de Messe München International (MMI), organizador de bauma.
