More than three hun- dred guests began the evening with a champagne reception, while enjoying the music of a string quartet. The gala dinner opened with words of thanks from Daniel Creasey, CEO of the Oil & Gas Awards, followed by the keynote address by the guest of honor, Colorado Governor John Hickenlooper. “I especially want to thank all of the companies and the individuals [of these companies], for their constant, continual effort to do the job better,” the Governor stated.
