".2&*$ 0%" .+1*!3 0". *!1/0.5 Notebook Projector Troubleshooting Tips As Appeared in the February 2013 Issue of PC Today The notebook projector is a common sight at trade shows around the world, and another common sight is a group of people hovering around the projector trying to figure out why it isn’t working. WWDR would like to share the following top ten notebook projector troubleshoot- ing tips: 1. Turn off all equipment before con- necting the notebook to the projector. 2. If possible, use digital connection to ensure a high-quality presentation. 3. If you’re not using the projector’s built-in speakers, turn them down and connect the notebook’s audio out to Photo courtesy of newscenter.phillips.com the sound system. 4. If you’re using a wireless mouse or controller, make sure you can estab- lish the wireless connection. 5. Use the straightforward network connection feature in Win7 to connect to a network projector. 6. If there is no video, check all the ports and then checkWindow’s Screen Resolution settings. 7. Out-of-range messages can be solved by adjusting screen resolution. 8. When a projected image isn’t pro- portionally correct, try repositioning the projector and/or changing the pro- jector’s keystone setting. 9. If the display turns off during a pres- entation, check the notebook’s power management settings. 10. If video isn’t displaying correctly, change the Display settings to make the projector the primary display.
