76 MAY 2013 WorldWide Drilling Resource ® Now Accepting International Members Adapted from a press release by Hydraulic Institute The Hydraulic Institute (HI) has expanded membership to pump and supplier companies that manufacture wholly out- side of North America and sell into the North American market. “Expanding HI’s membership footprint beyond North America is a natural response to the global marketplace. This move also aligns with HI’s vision to be a global authority on pumps and pumping systems. The active involvement of glob- al companies, and their executives and engineers, will add vitality to HI and the volunteer committees that create stan- dards, guidelines, and training programs of the Institute and its Pump Systems Matter educational organization. We expect both our current and new international members to benefit from the change,” said HI Executive Director Robert Asdal. International members are encouraged to take advantage of HI’s full range of programs and services including: - Developing pump standards, guidebooks, and educa- tional materials. - Networking wi th industry counterparts in North America. - Participate in HI’s global statistics program and eco- nomic forecasting trends. - Broaden their exposure to the North American market- place. - Stay current with industry and HI news and participat- ing events.
