The StarFlow bit increases overall drilling productivity by incorporating enhancements in the bit face design, particularly in the cutting geometry and placement of flush holes, flush grooves, and tungsten buttons. The strategic placement of five flush holes and flush grooves gives the bit its unique star-shaped design. Prazen Living Legend of Mining Award The Board of Directors of the National Mining Hall of Fame and Museum announced the Nevada Mining Association as recipient of the 2013 Prazen Living Legend of Mining Award . “The Nevada Mining Association’s many educational programs and efforts to promote an aware- ness and appreciation of the mining and minerals industry are outstanding examples of how to pro- vide the general public with a greater understanding of the industry’s role in our everyday lives,” said Paul Jones, chairman of the Board of Directors. This award is presented each year to those committed to educating the public on the importance of the minerals industry. The statue itself has been contributed by renowned artist and sculptor, Mr. Gary Prazen, to show his appreciation of the mining and minerals industry.
