73/*: ! ! In Memoriam Anthony “Chip” John Ruppert, Jr. (1971~2013) Anthony “Chip” John Ruppert, Jr. was born on March 31, 1971, in Robbinsdale, Minnesota. He passed away September 1, 2013, at his home in Stanchfield, Minnesota, with family and friends by his side. Chip was 42 years old. He was diagnosed with stage 4 esophageal cancer in March of this year, and had traveled to the Cancer Treatment Centers of America for a few months of treatments. He was able to bring his children, mother, and sister on some of those trips and spend time together. Chip found success as a business owner of A. Ruppert Well, Inc. as the fourth-generation water well drilling contractor in his family. His dedication to the field was also demonstrated by his serving on the board and as presi- dent of the Minnesota Water Well Association. Many friends and colleagues were formed through this part of his life. He looked forward to the annual conventions and being the life of the party with his contagious smile and laughter. Avid outdoorsman, Chip loved to hunt, fish, and practice archery. His favorite times were those spent with friends and family. He may not have had a long life, but it was full and meaningful as he made the most of every day he was given. He accomplished a great deal as he served his commu- nity, built up his business, and loved his family and friends. This included sponsoring race car drivers and serving his community in a variety of capacities, such as being a Lions Club member. Chip is survived by his wife Heather; children Ashleigh, Parker, and Addison; mother Carole; sister Colette, and numer- ous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews. The management and staff of WorldWide Drilling Resource ® offer their sincere condolences to Chip’s family and friends.
