smile left my face as I realized after this CGA in October, I would not be seeing Mike’s handlebar mustache, nor hear his voice across the tradeshow floor, or in the s em i n a r s . Gosh, I won’t even be see- ing him at the head table during the b a n q u e t and auction fes t i v i t i es . It’s always a sad day when reality hits hard like this. CGA will continue to grow, as do all good associations, and our best goes out to those great folks of California. I do want to wish Mike Mortensson all the best with his new exciting endeavors. I asked permis- sion from Frog Vandergrift to reprint his letter, which he graciously agreed to; and you will find in our next issue. The unique part of his letter was he actually did something people rarely do nowadays - he handwrote that letter! The other lettter was in the form of an e-mail from a dear friend in Canada, John Moore . John was lettingme know how much he appreciated the Memoriam we did for his father and how he re-reads it often. Sometimes, people need a personal note to comfort them during a time such as this, and I had sent a few words to John to help him get through this very difficult time. He let me know how much that helped. Another great thing happened to me. I got another partner in the industry!
