Here’s a question for you: “Have you bought into your future?” One of the WWDR Team members said to me recently how everyone should “buy into” the company they work with. That got me to think- ing on the way into the office one morning. In reality, that means, buying into your own future. No there is no money spent by you to “buy in” ~ but it is a dedication, a lot of hard work and commitment, and a willingness to be totally there for the company. Why? Because you are the company ! Look around you today; if you weren’t there, the person next to you wasn’t there, or the people in the shop, other offices, trucks, wherever, weren’t there what would happen to “your” company? POOF! Gone in an instant - quicker than you could shake a finger! So, if you have a position (notice I didn’t say job) at a company and you just put your eight hours in, effectively you have a JOB and that is WORK! We all know WORK is no fun - but if you buy into the company with your whole heart and soul, that becomes part of you and something you like - it’s NOT WORK - but FUN. Gosh, I said the “F” word - FUN! Are you enjoying your part of the company? If this answer is NO - then you have not bought into it. The BOTTOM LINE IS - YOU HAVE NOT BOUGHT INTO YOUR FUTURE! May I make a suggestion? I’m sure you know what it is, but just in case you aren’t sure: Try being a part of the company - buy into it - the rewards will be something you cannot buy with money.
