Siemens Sells Parts of its Water Business Adapted from a Press Release by Siemens Siemens announced plans to sell parts of its water business to funds man- aged by AEA Investors LP. AEA will acquire the municipal, industrial, and services water and wastewater treatment operations and assets of Siemens Water Technologies, part of Siemens Industry Sector. The sale does not include the com- pany’s water applications for the Energy Sector ’s oil and gas business; it will remain unchanged. There are major syn- ergies for these solutions as well as promising growth potent ial wi thin Siemens’ environmental portfolio. The solutions are used, for example, by munic- ipal sewage and water treatment facili- ties as well as by industrial companies in awide rangeof segments - includingmining, chemicals, and electronics manufactur- ing, as well as oil and gas operations. “InAEA, we’re pleased to have found a buyer with experience in industrial in- vestments who wants to continue to drive Water Technologies’ business and cul- tivate existing customer relationships.
