Ur-Energy, Inc. received an Order Upholding Agency Action from the U.S. District Court for Wyoming confirming the BLM’s (Bureau of Land Management’s) Record of Decision (ROD) regarding the company’s Lost Creek uranium project in Sweetwater County, Wyoming. The U.S. District Court for Wyoming denied all relief sought by a Wyoming- based environmental group, which had challenged the Lost Creek ROD issued by the BLM in October 2012. The court previously denied the petitioner’s motion for preliminary injunction, to halt the ongo- ing construction and operations at the project site. Ur-Energy President and CEOWayne Heili stated, “We are pleased to receive the court’s confirmation of the BLM’s Record of Decision. The Ur-Energy Team again commends all of the local, state, and federal agencies who worked dili- gently over the past several years re- viewing permit applications and other submissions to confirm Lost Creek’s compliance with applicable environmen- tal and safety regulations.” In the 31-page order denying all relief sought by the petitioner, the court found “[e]xtensive and exhaustive reviews of the potential environmental impacts of this Project...were undertaken by BLM, in conjunction with other state and fed- eral agencies.” This order confirms the BLM’s deci- sion to authorize the Lost Creek Project is in full compliance with federal law. Uranium production activities began at the Lost Creek in situ recovery project earlier this year, once final operational clearance was granted by the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission. Lost Creek processing plant. Initial review of the exploratory drill results during development and construc- tion drilling revealed the character of the uranium roll is consistent with historic mapping and analyses. As the company completes its analysis of these construc- tion drilling results, it plans to issue an updated technical report. UR-Energy has secured six uranium sales agreements related to production at the Lost Creek project spanning 2013- 2019.
