Drilling helps keep our teeth clean by providing the necessary ingredients for toothpaste, such as: Abrasives - Minerals such as silica, limestone, aluminum oxide, and var- ious phosphate minerals are used to scrub the plaque off your teeth. Fluoride - This comes from fluorite and is used to reduce cavities. Plastic - The toothbrush and tube holding the toothpaste are both made from plastics thanks to petrochem- icals and other minerals. 30 JANUARY 2014 WorldWide Drilling Resource ® CuMo Project Gains Support in Idaho Adapted from a Marketwired Press Release The I daho Depa r tmen t o f Commerce and the Boise County Board of Commissioners have declared sup- port for completion of the exploration phase of the CuMo Project in written comments during a Supplemental Environmental Assessment (SEA) pub- lic comment process being conducted by the U.S. Forest Service (USFS). Advancement of Idaho CuMo Mining Corporation’s eight-year scientific study of the Boise County molybdenum deposit was advocated in letters submitted to the USFS. Community members were given the chance to attend public meetings hosted by the USFS to learn more about the current SEA and submit comments regarding the CuMo Exploration Project. After attending these open houses, Boise County Commissioners submit- ted a letter signed by all three Boise County Commissioners supporting the project. The letter stated, Many citizens of Boise County expressed their desire to return to a natural resource-based econ- omy, therefore allowing the exploration of the CuMo Project is encouraged. Boise County wants to find the best solutions for all of our citizens. The SEA, which was developed by USFS, resulted from an August 2012 decision given by Federal District Court Judge Edward Lodge in response to l itigation by environmental groups. USFS’s Environmental Assessment process and its finding of no significant impact relative to the CuMo Project had been challenged by the groups. However, Judge Lodge affirmed find- ings by the USFS and denied four of the five claims in the environmental groups’ lawsuit. “While the process has been time consuming and costly, we believe the [SEA] completes a comprehensive review of the company’s activities and fulfi l ls commitments to date,” said Shaun Dykes, CEO of American CuMo Mining Corporation. “We are pleased to demonstrate that we are, and will continue to be, good neighbors and vig- ilant stewards of the environment.” If scientific research supports an economically viable project, thousands of high-paying jobs could potentially be created. Scientific methodology and best practices are being employed in every aspect of project research and devel- opment. PROBABLY DOES NOT MEAN POSITIVELY An apology from this magazine’s Publisher, Veronica I. “Ronnie” Jones It is very important that one who writes articles, checks each and every statement they write. If you don’t, you just may be apologizing. This happened to me just last month, regretfully after the December issue had gone to press, or I would have made this formal apology in that issue and corrected an untruth. I received a telephone call from a long-time friend, Randy Young at DSM (Drilling Supply & Mfg.). He faithfully reads WorldWide Drilling Resource ® and is a valued advertiser as well. His concern was a statement I made in the GEFCO Training article in November’s issue. It said “ GEFCO probably makes the only table drive in the world today.” Now that is not correct as was brought to my attention. Therefore, you can certainly find table drives at DSM and other manufacturers. For those of you who take what I say as “gospel”, I will certainly recheck my facts in the future. Thank you Randy for bringing this very important fact to my attention, and I sincerely apologize. Ronnie
