66 JULY 2014 WorldWide Drilling Resource ® Ronnie’s Real World Yo u k n o w - Life’s NOT fair... that for sure is true. And this year certainly has proven it to me. I bel ieve Jeff coined the phrase of this column - “Ronnie’s Real World” because he knew that to be true and knew I would be one to tel l you the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth. It doesn’t get any easier! As the year began with all those many wonderful trade events on our calendar, I was beaming that the WWDR Team would be able to help so many areas of the drilling industry by their presence. As days went on, I found it extremely difficult to schedule WWDR Team Members to different events. But we did in fact succeed for the most part - Did you know there were SEVEN events in Apri l this WWDR Team attended, and if you pull the last one in from March, and the first in May, that sounded like an impossible feat - but we did it. That is determination - just like you should have every day you begin your day’s work or leisure - GET ‘ER DONE - and you surely will! Then more trying times came as my sister became very ill and now is working very hard every day with her physical therapy, speech therapy, and occupational therapy. She has come a long way, but still has a very long way to go. As her DPOA (Durable Power of Attorney), I was asked to make many very hard decisions on her behalf, and I am just thankful she gave me that right many years ago. It allowed me to help her in a way I, nor anyone could ever have helped her without that paper. Planning and scheduling are two very important things to keep upper- most in your mind. AND, through all of my being out of this office, I can only thank the WWDR Team for “having my back” and their own, for that matter, and “GETTING ‘ER DONE!” You won’t find a better team - anywhere!
