The purchase will better serve the water well industry with solutions for treating water well casing and pipeline applications where contamination from iron bac- teria and coliform are present. “We are very excited to add Design Water Technologies to our offering of quality and environmentally-safe products for the water well professional,” said Tom Blake, Jet-Lube vice president of sales. Design Water Technology will become an additional product line for the water well division of Jet-Lube, Inc. Houston; Jet-Lube Canada; and Jet-Lube UK. Atlas Copco Purchases Swedish Drilling Company Atlas Copco has purchased Sweden- based Geawelltech, a company which sells, rents, and manufac- tures water well and geotechnical drilling equipment. Geawelltech has been a distributor for Atlas Copco for many years. The company also manufactures drilling rigs for a wide range of applications. “Geawelltech has a strong position in Sweden... Ground engineering is a strategic segment for us, and this fits perfectly with the existing Atlas Copco product portfolio,” said Johan Halling, business area president, Atlas Copco Mining and Rock Excavation Technique.
