69 WorldWide Drilling Resource ® NOVEMBER 2014 South Atlantic JUBILEE: Generations in the Making by Amy White, Associate Editor WorldWide Drilling Resource ® I’ve been working with the drilling industry a relatively short time, and it’s not hard for me to remember when I took my own running water for granted. The drilled water well is a basic part of everyday life, but many are unaware of the sense of pride, hard work, and expert- ise involved in getting this resource to us. South Atlantic JUBILEE in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, was a time to remember. It was my first time attend- ing this event, but right from the start, I could see and hear that people were excited to be getting “back to grass roots” in a place fami l iar to them. Companies were so busy with customers, it was no easy task pinning groups down for pho- tos. I’m starting to recognize familiar and friendly faces when I attend trade shows. I still do not know you all by name, but our work connects us, and we all have something to pass down to the next generat ion. JUBILEE was a great reminder of this.
