Since 1942, AMS, Inc. has been manufacturing high-quality sampling equipment used for the environmental, geotechnical, agricultural, and remedi- ation industries. In addition to hand augers, soi l probes, core samplers, sludge and sed- iment samplers, gas vapor probes, AMS manufactures the PowerProbe™ direct push/hollow stem auger drill rig. This pow- erful, versatile rig was first introduced in 1994. They are used for environmental and geotechnical drilling applications, and can be mounted on pickup trucks, trail- ers, or tracks. AMS also manufactures a wide range of hand sampling equipment for environ- mental, geotechnical, and agricultural activities. The AMS Team of profession- als design, develop, and manufacture products which allow customers to prop- erly collect soil, groundwater, and soil gas samples from shallow depths. AMS products can also be used to install groundwater monitoring wells, a remedial system, and conduct remedial injections. In short, AMS products help protect and restore groundwater re- sources. The future is bright for AMS as they continue the legacy of Art Vollweiler who established the com- pany over 70 years ago, to identify and develop new prod- ucts to address the requirements within the industry.
