Shakti Pumps, Ltd. was established by the late Mr. Manoharlal Patidar in 1982. From its humble beginnings in India, the company has made the best of every opportunity to grow into the cutting-edge company it is today. In 1986, the company’s current Chairman and Managing Director Dinesh Patidar, oversaw the commencement of the company’s manufacturing unit. Shakti Pumps was among the first companies to manufacture 100% stain- less steel submersible pumps andmotors; the company continues to lead the way, using state-of-the-art technology and its dedicated research and development efforts. The company has a strong commit- ment to quality; constructing and design- ing their products with great care using advanced fabrication techniques and the best materials. Most of the components are produced in-house, ensuring higher quality standards. It didn’t take long for the world to recognize the quality of Shakti products, and by 1997, they began exporting their pumps around the world. Today, Shakti Pumps are exported to more than 100 countries. National Sales Manager for Shakti, Ashish Rathi said, “Shakti Pumps began its USA operations, Shakti Pumps USA, LLC, to provide immediate assistance and super fast delivery in the USA and nearby countries in 2010. The response has been tremendous and there are cur- rently 35 distributors throughout the USA. Shakti is still looking for additional dis- tributors and dealers in the USA to ex- pand its horizon across all states.” Initiated in 2011, the company gives back to society through the Shakti Foundation Charitable Trust, which pro- vides free medical assistance to people living in rural areas in India. The company even arranged free transportation for vil- lagers to attend a health camp. For some, it was the first time locals had received treatment from a doctor. In 2013, the company launched its solar pump and motor to answer the cal l of those seeking to take advantage of solar energy. With the company’s new solar technology, this motor doesn’t require high torque, which ultimately extends the life of the pump.
