Meeting the changing needs of cus- tomers can be challenging, but one com- pany up to meeting the challenge is Diedrich Drill. The company’s sales and engineering staff wanted to design a rig capable of meeting the requirements of contractors who needed an affordable option for drilling in low-overhead, limited- access projects. Thus, the D-25 was created. This lightweight, compact drill is ideal for drilling in restrictive areas! It has the ability to auger, and can also be used for soil and core samples. The geotechnical and environmental drilling industries really enjoy the flexi- bility of the D-25 which can be mounted on tracks, ATV, skid, trailer, or truck. The optional feed frame sheave mount bolts to the top of the feed frame to allow use of the cathead and winch when drilling with the mast horizontal. This allows drilling to continue with less than 12 feet of overhead clearance, with a skid-mounted rig. Constructed of heavy wall rectan- gular steel tubing, this little rig packs a powerful punch with enough strength for heavy-duty use. Customers are able to add a variety of features to make this rig unique, such as: Drill Platform - Welded construction drill platform can be added with struc- tural steel and deck plates. Running lights are included. Water Tank - Welded steel water tanks mount at the front of the drill platform. Rod Rack - Above deck rod rack and underbody rod rack are standard with drill platforms. An optional rod stor- age area under the water tank is also available. Toolboxes - Are available for above- or below-deck mounting in various sizes. Water Pump - Frame mounted and driven from the rig hydraulic system.
