The 9520-VTR PowerProbe™ by AMS, Inc. is used to perform environmen- tal investigations. Soil, groundwater, and soil vapor samples can all be taken for site analysis. In addition, groundwater monitoring wells, vapor extraction wells, and injection wells can be installed; and remedial injections can be performed for site cleanup. The 9520-VTR PowerProbe™ is powered by an Interim Tier 4, 60 HP (horsepower) Kubota Turbo diesel engine. This feature, along with the load-sense hydraulic system, allows for extremely fuel-efficient operation, something you definitely want from an environmental drilling rig. It is equipped with a 4000 foot-pound auger and 350 foot-pound hydraulic direct push hammer. A standard 80-inch probe stroke allows for use of 4-foot or 5-foot tooling. The 3000-pound hydraulic high-speed winch allows for easy removal of center rods. For increased stability, the 9520-VTR PowerProbe™ also features a stronger mast with a larger foot. It has a more compact height and width, as well as a ful ly equipped weight under 10,000 pounds with a lower center of gravity. The rig has a tooling rack with increased rod carrying capacity; front storage rack with a sample prep station; lockable onboard toolbox; lockable onboard remote storage; a multifunctioning dozer blade; as wel l as a lockable control panel allowing you to run everything from a single position. Working together with AMS cus- tomers, the AMS engineering team spent countless hours on the initial design 9520-VTR PowerProbe™ by aMS, Inc. project.
