Junex Inc. has started drilling its Junex Galt number 4 horizontal well from its existing well number 4 vertical well- bore, toward the Galt number 3 well in Quebec, Canada’s Forillon Formation. Mr. Peter Dorrins, president and CEO of Junex said, “The Galt number 4 horizontal well is a first in two respects: not only is it the first horizontal well on our Galt Oil Property, but it is also the first horizontal oil exploration well ever to be drilled by industry anywhere east of Quebec City in the province of Quebec. With our long-standing partner in the Galt Oil Property, Mr. Bernard Lemaire, we are quite excited to be drilling this milestone well in the most advanced oil project in Quebec. We are proud that this well is being drilled with our own drilling rig staffed by our Quebec-resident employees.” With a resource potential of 330 mil- lion barrels, this project contains the largest combined discovered contingent oil resource and undiscovered prospec- tive oil resource potential established by independent evaluators so far on the Gaspé Peninsula. "# " ! $ # ' "" "' ' Wyo-Ben Announces Acquisition Adapted from Information Provided by Wyo-Ben Wyo-Ben, Inc. announced the acqui- sition of the Thunderstorm line of mud mixing and cleaning systems from Sharewell HDD Drilling Products. The new division of Wyo-Ben, Thunder Products, will continue manufacturing and operations at the Ponder, Texas, man- ufacturing facility. Dan Sharpe will remain president. The Thunderstorm name will be retained, along with HDD (horizontal directional drilling) distribution through Vermeer dealers. The Thunderstorm line includes the Thunderstorm I and II, and the soon-to-be- released Thunderstorm III. These units are designed to go with HDD rigs up to 250,000 pounds, as well as various sizes of water well and geothermal drills. Each unit has a corresponding pit pump designed and built in Ponder, Texas; rang- ing from 150 GPM (gallons per minute) to 1000 GPM. Each system is designed to be the best mud recycler in its class.
