She called me back about three weeks later and said she had not heard from the salesman yet. So I asked if she minded if I came out and took care of it. She said it would be just fine, and I went to see her the next week. I got there very early, took pictures, and talked with her, explaining how it was going to take place and what we were going to do. Everyone else got there, took out the control box, and moved it to the corner, replaced the tank with a larger one in the corner, and also moved the piping system a little. The distributor who sold the equipment to the or iginal installer also showed up, and I was very grateful he was there to support us. He really wasn’t. When he got ready to leave, he pulled the woman aside and said, “They’re spending all this money to fix this, and pumps just make noise.” She was ready to sue again, and I had to do a lot of talking to get her to change her mind. I would have been on her side had she chosen to. We finished up and every- thing worked fine. We turned the water on and there was no more banging, no noise at all. The moral here is, don’t be afraid to ask for help if you don’t know what the problem is. I tell everyone my job is to make you look like a hero. And if you do know what the problem is, fix it.
