The project will pro- vide sewer service to around 800 homes in the neighborhoods off Tidewater Drive to replace on-site wastewater treatment systems. The project was re- quired to comply with the National Historic Preservation Act to avoid, minimize, and mitigate any adverse impacts to known historical and cultural artifacts of significance to the Narragansett Indian Tribe. After years of consultation with the Tribe by the Warwick Sewer Authority, the federal Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), and the Rhode Island Historical Preservation & Heritage Commission, the project was redesigned to use low-pressure sewers and di- rectional drilling technology, which will ensure sensitive cultural and historical resources in the area are protected from potential construction impacts. Work will be concentrated in the River Vue neighborhood and will continue in a generally southerly direction concluding in the Highland Beach neighbor- hood. The Publ ic Archaeology Laboratory, Narragansett Improvement Company, and Gordon R. Archibald, Inc., make up the work crews for the proj- ect. Their task involves removing sections of pavement in locations where plans call for pits to be excavated for the directional drilling process and installation of sewer service connections. Archaeological findings will help determine the final locations of the directional drilling jacking pits. In the past, preliminary archaeological investigations completed by the Warwick Sewer Authority in conjunction with the Narragansett Indian Tribe un- covered evidence showing the area was once a densely settled village of the Narragansett Indian Tribe prior to the arrival of European which existed into the 17th century. The EPA determined this area, which is identified as the Mill Cove Site due to its proximity to Mill Cove Brook, was eligible for listing on the National Register of Historic Places. The sewer project is expected to significantly improve water quality in Narragansett Bay when construction is completed in 2019. 1972 Ingersoll Rand T4 , 50K pullback 12V 71 deck motor, 400 Mack drive motor, 600/250 air................................ $65,000 1980 Ingersoll Rand T4 , 50K pullback 3412 Cat ® deck motor, 3208 Cat ® drive motor, 900/350 air..................... $85,000 1980 Portadrill TLS , 40K pullback 8V 92 deck motor, 3208 Cat ® drive motor, 750/350 air................................ $85,000 Holte casing hammer , Perkins diesel skid-mounted centrifugal MCM 250 mud pump................................. $16,000 T4 drill rod , 1200+’................... $24,000 Cat ® diesel skid-mounted centrifugal MCM 250 mud pump................ $14,000 Will sell separately or take all for...$ 250,000 509-855-2070 2003-796 We stopped receiving your great magazine which is the source of many contacts for purchases of equipment and spares we need.
