In Memoriam Robert D. “Bob” Grant (1926~2018) Robert D. “Bob” Grant of Coudersport, formerly of Denver, Pennsylvania, passed away September 4, 2018, at the age of 92. Born in Ephrata, Bob started working in his father’s ice plant when he was about eight years old. Then in the summers, he helped on his grandfather’s farm in Goglersville. As a young man, Bob enlisted in the U.S. Navy, serving on the USS New Orleans in the South Pacific. Upon returning home after the war, he earned his pilot’s license, then again worked for his father, this time in his excavating business. Later, Bob established Bob Grant Well Drilling and Water Systems in Denver. He retired in the 1990s, but he was not one to sit. He worked in building construc- tion, lawn maintenance, and cable television installation. He was a life member of the VFW, several lodges, plus was a Shriner’s clown. Bob is survived by his daughter Pat; grandson John Wesley; great-grand- daughter Makenzie; and extended family. He was preceded in death by his wife Pauline, in 2012. The management and staff of WWDR extend their condolences to Bob’s family and friends.
