Wire Geoconsultants, Inc. Epilogue When invited to write a column about experiences in the field over many decades which might be of interest to readers of WWDR , I thought possibly I might be able to write several episodes for a column called “Tales from the Field”, but that the memory of this old guy might run out in such an assignment after a period of several months. However, here we are still writing a monthly column almost three years later! Nonetheless, time seems to be catching up with the spinner of these “Tales” and he finds he needs to take a break or pause in writing, caused by the intrusion of life’s other activities, including work, all which seem to be occurring at an ever accelerating pace, it seems, during the past several months. This does not allow enough time to think about past episodes in the field and let them percolate through his brain for a while, much less write an interesting story about them. I have enjoyed reminiscing and writing these “Tales” and hope you have liked reading them as a break between perusing other regular features and the advertisements for such items as drill bits, drill collars, casing, etc. - all necessities for the drilling professional. To you readers, and the very special staff at WWDR who keep this publication going, until the time I might return to these pages, I wish all of you good luck, good health, and as the saying goes, “Keep turning to the right.” Publisher’s Note: The WWDR Team looks forward to Jeremy’s return, and thanks him for helping us serve the drilling in- dustry with his knowledge and enjoyable “Tales”.
