Born in 1951, he graduated from Deadwood High School in 1969; he had recently enjoyed his 50-year class reunion. He worked for Homestake Mining Company until its closing, took a summer off to spend with his grand- children “because he could”, then worked for Warf Mining until he retired five years ago to take care of his mother. Tim had a great love for all his grandchildren and great-grandchildren, adoring them just as much as they adored him. His lifelong passion for playing pool won him many awards and he was even inducted into the South Dakota Pool Hall of Fame in 2005. Tim is survived by his mother Winifred; children Timothy Jr., Brandi (Larry), Jennifer (Kent), Melisa (Adrian), Jennifer (Zach), and Isaac; grandchildren Denica (Bryan), Drake, Alyssa (Jay), Madison, Michael, Loghan, Landyn, Kaidon, Abigayle, Riley, AJ, and Eloise; great-grandchildren Jason, Asher, Stella Rosa, and Olivia; several siblings, nieces, and nephews; former wife Kimberli; and special friend Theresa. Randall Lawrence “Randy” Dolby (1952~2019) Randall Lawrence “Randy” Dolby of Brookville, Pennsylvania, passed away September 7, 2019, following an illness. Born in 1952, he graduated from Clarion Limestone High School, served in the U.S. Army, and was a member of the Eagles and American Legion. His explosives career started after the Army, in the mid-1970s. He was employed by Amos Dolby Company, and obtained his blasting license. Wampum Hardware Co. acquired the company in 1997, but Randy didn’t join them until 2003. As an employee of Wampum, he oversaw many construction jobs across the country. He was hard working, and enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was a member of the International Society of Explosives Engineers and local chapters also. Randy is survived by his children Lisa (fiancé Mark) and Tara; stepson Kevin; grandchildren Shawnee, Vivan, Gavin, and Taylor; brothers Blake and Jim (Patricia); and sister Jacqueline (Leonard). Torger Anders Henckel (1997~2019) Students, faculty, and staff at South Dakota School of Mines & Technology (SD Mines) are mourning the loss of Torger Anders Henckel, who passed away after a fall while pursuing his passion of hiking and rock climbing in the Black Hills of South Dakota. Born in 1997, in Viroqua, Wisconsin, Torger graduated from Luther High School in 2015, and was completing his final semester at SD Mines for a degree in mining engineering. He had accepted a job in Tucson, Arizona. Torger competed in both the Mine Rescue Team and the Mining and Mucking Team. His skills as a mathematician and surveyor clinched the SD Mines world championship victory at the 2018 International Collegiate Mining Games in Cornwall, England. He loved skiing, hiking, rock climbing, and just being outside. While hiking, his explanations of rock formations could amaze; then he would be off, climbing and jumping from rock to rock. Torger is survived by his parents Gregg and Nancy; brother Dietrich (Ashley); sisters Marit (Zachary) and Annika; grand- father Ray; uncles, aunts, and many cousins. Richard Sebastian “Dick” Cuda (1932~2019) Richard Sebastian “Dick” Cuda of Boca Grande, Florida, and East Orleans, Massachusetts, passed away peacefully at home October 10, 2019, two months shy of his 87th birthday. Known to friends as Dick and to family as Pops, he was a loving husband, father, grandfather, talented entrepreneur and philanthro- pist, and enthusiastic fisherman, hunter, and art collector. Dick grew up in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, and graduated from Shadyside Academy in 1950, where he excelled in wrestling and developed a lifelong love of the outdoors as a member of the fishing club. He grad- uated with a degree in finance from the University of Pittsburgh, joined the Army, then graduated with a masters in marketing from Harvard Business School in 1957. While employed at General Electric, he specialized in selling electrical distribution equipment to the construction industry. In 1967, he bought Blake Equipment, which sold and serviced industrial boilers. He later expanded the company into water systems and pumps. Dick was predeceased by his wife Ellie and is survived by his children Corinne (fiancé Warren), Fred (Eileen), and Beth (Todd) and grandchildren Emily, Michael, Jessica, Carly, Mia, Sam, Foster, Ellie, and Fred. The management and staff of WWDR extend their sympathies to the family and friends of Tim, Randy, Torger, and Dick. Lest we forget...
