The Mountain States Groundwater Expo, hosted by the Arizona, Colorado, Nevada, New Mexico, and Utah groundwater and water well associations, is held each year at the Aquarius Casino Resort in Laughlin, Nevada. Mark your calender for February 7-8, 2019, to visit with manufacturers and suppliers, drilling con- tractors and pump installers, technical and consulting firm representatives, as well as groundwater officials. Thursday starts with several classes, then a meet and greet in the exhibit hall, followed by the Buck Lively Scholarship Auction and Raffle. Friday has more seminars, a buffet lunch in the trade show area, then more education opportunities in the afternoon. Saturday is reserved for a Board Meeting. The 2019 Winter Conference is February 20-21. This new indoor venue boasts over 45,000 square feet for booths and heavy equipment displays. Also new this year is an opportunity for local schools to conduct field trips to the exhibition hall so students can see the dis- plays and realize the industry is a viable, hands-on career. The Michigan Ground Water Association (MGWA) will hold its Annual Conference/Funtamentals on February 21-22, 2019, at the J.W. Marriott in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Highlights include combined beginner, advanced, and MGWA education tracks; McEllhiney Lecture; and annual meeting. Lunch is provided both days.
