WorldWide Drilling Resource
Rest in Peace Dear Friend . . . Clifford W. “Cliff” Porter 5/10/1939 - 4/3/2019 by Veronica I. “Ronnie” Jones Managing Publisher WorldWide Drilling Resource ® A friend’s passing is never an easy thing to talk about. Cliff was a dear friend to our fam- ily here at WorldWide and he deserves talk- ing about. Shocked by hearing the tragic news, and realizing we wouldn’t be seeing him at events anymore, was overwhelm- ing. He was so dedicated to this drilling industry, as are his daughters Michelle and Roberta, and Chris, his grandson. Cliff's smile, knowledge, and friendly manner with potential, as well as current, customers will be greatly missed within our industry. Cliff was born to John Calvin and Mildred (Caboth) Porter in rural Armstrong, Iowa. He attended public school there and married Sharon Roberta Corderman, who predeceased him in early 1999. He remarried Kathleen Fae (Riley) Heyn in late 2000. Already having a large family, his family grew even larger. Cliff enjoyed his friends and family; teasing his great grandchildren; taking his “dog friend” Zoey for rides in his Smart car; people watching and striking up conversations - just because that was Cliff; and traveling for business and pleasure the world over. As was his unselfish way, Cliff requested his body be donated to the Research For Life Organization. His celebration of life took place April 27th at Pocahontas Expo Center, Iowa. Our sincerest sympathies go out to his family and friends. Lest we forget . . . 26 JUNE 2019 WorldWide Drilling Resource ®
